SERVICE NSW HAVE ANNOUNCED NEW CHANGES TO THE CREATIVE KIDS PROGRAM AS OF 1st MARCH.
We can not accept Creative Kids Vouchers until Service NSW have approved our courses through their new application process. We have not been given a time frame for this process yet.
Creative Kids vouchers can only be used for lessons and can not be used to purchase art materials of any kind.
Terms and conditions of making a booking with Anchors Aweigh Art Studio (A.A.A.S.).
ONSITE WORKSHOPS
1) Your position in the workshop will not be secured until full payment for the course is received.
2) Unfortunately we can not provide refunds for missed workshops by any student.
3) Workshop teachers may be replaced with another suitable teacher if required.
4) Although all safety precautions are taken Anchors Aweigh Art Studio will take no responsibility for any injuries as a result of breaches of safety advice.
5) A.A.A.S. endorses a no bullying policy. Any student found to be harassing a student or teacher, be that verbally or physically, will be pulled out of the workshop. No refund will be issued.
6) Any student found to be endangering themselves or others or appear to be sick may be pulled from the workshop. No refund will be issued.
7) If a workshop is cancelled full refunds will be issued (expect in the circumstance of #8)
8) If a workshop is cancelled in part out of the full term (due to a sick tutor for example) either of the following may happen a) online lesson if practical b) a double length class offered the following lesson or c) a discount voucher code will be issued for the value of that lesson d) a refund offered for the value of that lesson. If the full term program is cancelled refunds will be issued.
9) Students or parents of students participating in classes with Anchors Aweigh Art Studio expressly acknowledge that in the course of undertaking classes use is made of paints, inks, solvents, chemicals, art tools, art utensils and other materials which might be dangerous and these materials are used at the students’ own risk. A.A.A.S. uses non-toxic, water-based inks and paints when suitable for the class.
10) All participants under 18 years of age are required to provide a contact phone number for a parent or guardian.
11) Unless otherwise stated all workshops will be held at 37 / 7 Waynote Place, Unanderra NSW 2526.
12) Guardian’s are required to inform Anchors Aweigh Art Studio staff of any known allergies, medical issues, sensitivities or mental, learning or physical disabilities of their child when signing up for a class. We encourage everyone to create and we welcome all students. Having knowledge of our students helps us cater to their needs and allows us to create a safe environment for all students in our classes.
13) In the case of a COVID outbreak or similar, which results in onsite classes being unsafe to run, the remaining lessons for a term course will be moved online and run as Zoom Live Online Lessons. Lessons will be adjusted to use materials students will most likely have available at home. If this happens an email / text will be sent with details.
LIVE ONLINE WORKSHOPS
1) Service NSW require Creative Kids providers to offer a live lesson component with all art kits in 2022. There are no reimbursements of any kind if the live lessons, or any other element of the art kit, is not utilised.
2) It is up to the student if they wish to participate in the Live Online Lesson/s.
3) Students should have art materials, the printed project worksheet and a suitable work area ready prior to the lesson starting.
4) If a student logs into Zoom early they will go into an online waiting room. The lesson host will admit students at the start of the session.
5) Live Online Lessons run to a set time. If a student does not finish the project within that period they will need to finish it outside of the lesson on their own. The printed worksheet for the project will assist.
6) It is recommended to check the Live Online Lessons page in the lead up to a lesson at
www.anchorsaweighartstudio.com/lol – Just incase there have been any changes/rescheduling.
The host will only reschedule under extreme circumstances.
7) Anchors Aweigh Art Studio has the right to remove any student from a Live Online Lesson if deemed to be disruptive or if the participant is not considered to be eligible for the lesson.
8) It is up to the student’s parent/guardian to decide if the art kit / lesson is appropriate for their child. Anchors Aweigh Art Studio takes no responsibility for unsuitable purchases.
9) Live Online Lessons have a limited capacity per session. If the lesson is full an additional lesson time will be added to the calendar at www.anchorsaweighartstudio.com/lol
10) Only the child who is named on the Creative Kids voucher may attend the Live Online Lesson. The lesson is not transferrable. A parent/guardian may assist a child during the online lesson.
11) The customer may not share or make public the access code for the Live Online Lesson/s.
