I have made the decision to close Anchors Aweigh Art Studio after 9 years running as a sole operator. The past couple of years really brought home the fact that I miss working as part of a team and with recent changes to the Service NSW Creative Kids program I feel now is the right time to move my career in a new direction.
I would like to thank all students, clients and customers for the support over the years.
Cheers
Trina
Changes from 1 March and how they effect the Live Online Workshop dates
On 1 March Service NSW / Create NSW sent an email to providers stating that no art materials can be provided for Creative Kids vouchers anymore. I only started taking 2022 orders on 17th Feb and had to pull down my shop on 1 March. If you had made an order prior to the changes you will have noticed there were originally 5 date options for each workshop. Due to the changes the first 2x dates (March & April) will now only run.
As I was only able to do 1.5 weeks worth of sales I can not commit to running months and months worth of dates on so few orders.
The changes made on 1 March also restrict all online classes to 20x students. As a result I ask that if you made an order and your child would like to attend the March or April workshop/s included in your order please email info@anchorsaweighartstudio.com with the course/date you would like to book and your order number.
As so few orders were received in such a short operating period there shouldn’t be any problems with the class size restrictions but it is good to make sure I’m following all the set regulations.
CHANGES TO THE CREATIVE KIDS PROGRAM AS OF 1st MARCH
SERVICE NSW HAVE ANNOUNCED NEW CHANGES TO THE CREATIVE KIDS PROGRAM AS OF 1st MARCH.
Art kits are no longer eligible for the program.
Any current orders that uses a Creative Kids voucher means the voucher is for the online workshops only. A art kit is provided free of charge as a gift from me to you as I have a warehouse of stock that is now no longer valid for the program and I’ve put all my savings towards investing in 🙁
I am currently trying to work out what these changes mean for my business after today 1 March.
CREATIVE KIDS in 2022
Service NSW have made some changes to the Creative Kids program for 2022.
All art kits must now include a live teaching component. The kit can also only include materials used in the live lesson/s.
You can check out the art kit page and details on the lesson/s included with that kit will be detailed.
Kits also come with printed project work books to support the online workshops.
